New Ross - Claude Edward Quigg, 87, of Rt. 1, New Ross, died early Thursday morning at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. He had ben in failing health for several months. Mr. Quigg was a native of Montgomery County and had been a farmer most of his life. He was born in the county April 20, 1883, the son of Francis and Tacy Johnson Quigg. He was married Oct 1, 1913 to Nina Fern Martin. He attended Marion Business Collge, University of Iowa and Purdue. Mr. Quigg was a member of the Gravelly Run Friends Church. Survivors include 4 sisters, Mable Quigg and Rena Quigg of Rt 5, Crawfordsville; Mrs. Josie Sorrells of near the Shades State Park and Mrs. Bertha Hymer of Roachdale; three brothers, Clifford Quigg of Rt 5, Crawfordsville, Alfred Quigg of near Sheridan and Curtis Quigg of near Crawfordsville and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home in Crawfordsville. Rev. Norvell E. Webb will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Crawfordsville. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.
